Nous sommes heureux d'annoncer notre nouveau centre de données européen situé à Francfort-sur-le-Main, en Allemagne ! Cette nouvelle installation permettra de mieux servir les communautés technologiques en pleine croissance en Allemagne, dans la grande Europe et dans les régions avoisinantes.
Il s'agit de notre huitième centre de données dans le monde, qui vient compléter notre autre centre de données basé en Europe, à Londres. Nos déploiements à Francfort et à Londres sont tous deux situés dans des installations de TelecityGroup.
Francfort est une importante plaque tournante financière et Internet pour l'Europe, avec un tiers du trafic Internet européen passant par elle. Francfort abrite DE-CIX, la plus grande bourse Internet du monde en termes de trafic. DE-CIX nous offrira sans aucun doute, à terme, de nombreuses possibilités d'accès au peering.
Les clients de Linode peuvent désormais se conformer à la loi fédérale allemande sur la protection des données ( Bundesdatenschutzgesetz ou BDSG) en hébergeant leurs données sur le sol allemand.
Francfort prend en charge toutes les fonctionnalités et tous les services Linode, ainsi que le même matériel de qualité, notamment le stockage SSD de niveau centre de données, les processeurs E5-2680v3, la DDR4 ECC SDRAM, le réseau redondant complet et 40 GbE pour chaque hôte d'hyperviseur. Linode Frankfurt est uniquement disponible sur KVM .

How about the second Tokyo datacenter?
@Tinpont: We are still researching an additional facility in Tokyo.
@tasaro When opening an additional Tokyo facility, will it be linked to the old facility in such a way that private networking, ip swaps, etc can be made between Tokyo1 and Tokyo2 DCs? Or will they be separate in the same way as the other DCs are?
Do you have also Linode people locally in Germany where I can talk to personally?
For UAE(Dubai ) customer is Frankfurt recommend, because uae internet exchange

Will you ever consider establishing closer in or closer to scandinavia?
Im in Norway, and surprisingly i get the same avg. ping to both Frankfurt and London.

@atrius: That would be nice, TelecityGroup has a datacenter also in Stockholm, maybe in the future.
I think however that the market share for scandinavia is still quite low compared to Frankfurt and London, which are quite important nodes in the traffic worldwide.

I love Linode forever, but why ow why not in Amsterdam .. and I am NOT going to another VPS provider. I am waiting .. I have patience …I run already 2 Linodes, 1 in Dallas and 1 in London, but I really need Amsterdam, a dutch website does not belong in Frankfurt.
