SOLVED: how to un-public/re-private a StackScript?

How to make a public/Community StackScript private again? What I mean, why I ask:

I'm trying to update a StackScript I wrote/own. I had previously used it, so made it public as part of making it accessible to this question. Did I test this old code first? Of course not :-(

Now that I've tested it, I find that it does not currently work :-( So I'd like to undo making it public, but I can't find any UI for that. Alternatively, I tried unchecking its Current Distribution, but when I hit button='Save Changes', it says

You must choose Distributions this script can run on (DistributionIDList can't be empty)

Hello,

Once it goes public, you must remove the script to eliminate public availability. This probably sound weird, but it was deliberate - however I cannot recall past-self's reasoning at this moment.

Anyway - copy the script source, delete the orig, and save it into a new StackScript entry. Done.

Or use the API :)
