Jenkins CI on Linode?

We have a series of Java apps that are compiled on each commit via Jenkins. Right now it's running on a 8GB Quad core from 2007. We'd like to replace it with your 16GB plan. Our repo has about 600,000 lines of code, but not all of it needs to be compiled on each commit. It depends on what was committed.

Do you think a Linode could do this? I'm particularly worried you guys will kick me out because of CPU or IOPS.

I don't work for Linode but I'd hazard a guess that you'd be fine unless you're maxing out the cpus 24/7. I also expect your builds would be quite a bit faster than your server due to the SSDs and newer CPUs.

OBS is correct. You shouldn't encounter any issues when running Jenkins on a Linode. While I'm sure my deployment is much smaller, I currently run Jenkins flawlessly on a 2GB Linode.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your answers! We've gone ahead and picked up the 16GB plan. We swap over Monday. If I don't respond to this thread, it means all went well!

Just following up. We've swapped over. All seems to be going well. Thanks!
