How doI tell the time needed for this upgrade?

Hello,

I have a pending upgrade for my Linode – the one that gives you SSD storage, and completely new hardware.

However, the upgrade page says:

1. Click button

2. Wait turn in upgrade queue

There are NN Linode migrations queued in front of you.

3. Linode is shut down and its disk images are migrated

You will experience downtime while your Linode is migrated. We estimate around 42 minutes to migrate your Linode, but that may vary based on host and network load.

4. Linode upgraded and booted (if it was running)

I need to schedule this, but I don't knwo how long it will take to migrate the other NN hosts on the queue (what it it takes three, four hours? I checked this morning and there were 80 hosts waiting!)

So my question is, is there a way for me to find a time interval in chich I know I can do the upgrade?

Thank you!

The time it takes depends on when you do it. I upgraded one of our Linodes recently and there was only 1 other migration in the queue. It's hit and miss so you need to keep an eye on it.

How long the actual upgrade will take depends on the size of your Linode (primarily the size of your disk images).
