Postfix + Courier + MySQL = phpMyWebHosting

Just thought I'd add an advertisement for a site that really helped me setup my e-mail: phpMyWebhosting

The management program itself isn't anything to get excited over (yet), but it goes step by step through setting up a nice email configuration.

It's kind of Debian-centric, but it should work on any distro.

Let me know if there's something better (or more complete) out there. This is just what got me up & going…

Erm, take note:

Debian's Woody ships with Postfix 1.x. Which isn't anywhere as cool as Postfix 2.x. Therefore you may wish to use backports.org or compile it by hand.

Debian's testing & unstable distro's both contain Postfix 2.x. But if its not broken, why fix it?

Does Postfix 2 offer any big improvements? I just need basic SMTP with just enough security to keep out the spammers. Postfix 1 seems pretty sufficient so far, but I'm open to alternatives.
