Domain Forwarding from GoDaddy

I am learning on my feet here having taken over a previously hosted linode SMF forum with only a copy of the database to work with. I have set up my own linode, installed the SMF software and recreated the full forum.

I have a domain name at GoDaddy to use to point to the forum.

I have replaced the GoDaddy Nameservers with the linode Nameservers and completed the reverse DNS on linode. The GoDaddy domain points to my linode IP Address.

I get the following message when putting the domain name in the browser address bar.

> It works!

This is the default web page for this server.

The web server software is running but no content has been added, yet.

Can anyone help me to point the domain name to the location of my forum in my linode

That looks like the default page for an Ubuntu system. Have you set up a vhost file for your domain (if you're using apache it can also be referred to as an apache config file)? Once you add a vhost file and reload the apache config your domain should point to your forum.
