Terms of Service

I'd like to take nautix's recent questions about linode a little further. Some of the terms of services strike me as a little, errm, onorous - heavy penalties for spamming, billing disputes to be settled at your sole discretion, penalties for disputing charges with the credit card bank, …

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for stamping out any spam that comes from one of your machines, and kicking the responsible party out. But I do wonder about misunderstandings or disagreements over say the cause of a break-in turning into a very large (and apparently unappealable) bill.

Can you tell me how many times you've exercised those terms, and under what circumstances? Are there any customers here who have any relevant experience?

Thanks for your responses. And by the way, I love what I've discovered about linode.com so far.
