Do the standard hostnames have MX records. Dig output suggests they do.
$ dig -t any li2-32.members.linode.com MX
Nope, the default reverse DNS hostnames do not include MX records. If you need to deliver email to your Linode, you'll need to setup the hosts file, or configure the DNS records on your domain name.
You can mention users to notify them: @username
