install headers corresponding to linode kernel

Hi everyone :)

I'm wondering how I could get the headers corresponding to the default last linode kernel I have on my ubuntu (3.5.2-linode45) please ? Because when I try to apt-get install linux-headers I've only got choices for 3.2.0 or something like this.

I really need headers in my /usr/include/linux to be able to build something.

Thanks in advance :)

Nowadays, Linode kernels are built from the mainline source.

hi :)

but the headers aren't available in the ubuntu repos for the version, are they ?

No, they aren't. You can grab the source from here or run a distro kernel using pv-grub.

Are there instructions for installing kernel headers from source provided above?

Linode Ubuntu 12.04

Would generic headers work?

Is that question too generic?
