Linode Rebuild

Hi All,

I'd like to rebuild my Linode to install a new Linux distribution. Is there a way I can keep my current IP address for the new install or will the rebuild process automatically give me a new IP address?

IP stays fixed when you rebuild.

Alternatively, you can build a new machine with the new OS, then swap the IP when done (same datacenter only!).

I second both of the points made above. You shouldn't need to do anything special since the IP will be the same in both circumstances.
