Oracle Linux is now free, will/should RHEL be the same?

I suppose this is old news, but I just heard about it. https://blogs.oracle.com/linux/entry/fr … errata_for">https://blogs.oracle.com/linux/entry/freeupdatesanderratafor

So, Oracle Linux is now free, but I can't stand Larry. I'd go RHEL (from CentOS) if they did the same, I'd do it even if I had to pay, say, few bucks/yr. per server, or if they had some basic, no support, RHN account-only plan with update repo for < $100/year. Not with the current prices, though.

I'm not clear what their desktop policy is but the main problem for me is that this is an RPM based distribution and I've had better application maintenance stability with Ubuntu (Debian based) package management. Maybe RPM has gotten better in recent years.
