fcgid / suExec + phpMyAdmin

I recently installed mod_fcgid and suExEc on my Ubuntu server following these instructions:

http://www.howtoforge.com/Fhow-to-set-u … untu-10.04">http://www.howtoforge.com/Fhow-to-set-up-apache2-with-mod_fcgid-and-php5-on-ubuntu-10.04

Since suExec does not support symbolic links (needed to use phpMyAdmin because it resides in /usr/share/phpmyadmin), the ServerFault here article poses a workaround.

It directs you to edit /etc/apache2/mods-available/suphp.conf, however, my configuration uses only apache2-suexe, libapache2-mod-fcgid, and php5-cgi – not suphp.

Can I apply the workaround using my environment (fcgid and suexec instead of suphp). If so, where should I place the directives?
