hrtimer interrupts

In my remote access panel in Manager I constantly notice lines being outputted saying "hrtimer: interrupt took 6585189 ns" or something similar. I did some research and found this was related to the kernel or something. What do these notices actually mean, how can I prevent them, and does it reflect an issue with my system?

It's the high resolution timer, and I see that Ubuntu had some trouble with this with KVM.

What kernel is your linode running?

Linux 3.0.18-x86_64-linode24 under CentOS 6.2

I've been seeing the same thing in my logs on one server running Ubuntu 12.04 using pvgrub, it doesn't seem to be having any detrimental effects

Linux s1 3.2.0-30-virtual #48-Ubuntu SMP Fri Aug 24 17:34:24 UTC 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
