Question about High Availibility clustering

I'm looking to configure a HA cluster with 4 Linodes, I see there's a few methods within the documentation to do it, but I can't really work out what article I should be following to do this.

The main purpose of the cluster is to offer DDOS protected Teamspeak Servers and Websites/Forums. Would there be any reason why I wouldn't be able to do this?

My servers are running Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid. All are fresh deployments.

I thought the easy fix is to turn off ICMP replies? and round robin works pretty well for that for most services, right?

(IE; multiple ip addresses for one specific record)

ICMP replies would probably block the traffic of some botnet zombies, but Shell booters and slowloris attacks would still hit the servers.
