Lassie initiated boot

Today I see on the dashboard that some hours ago "Lassie initiated boot " server is running but.. I how do I know why or what happened?

Also… as an idea.. would be great to have an option in the E-mail Alerts settings to send an email if Lassie boots the system.

Check /var/log/messages /var/log/syslog and connect to lish and run the logview command (see http://library.linode.com/troubleshooti … node-shell">http://library.linode.com/troubleshooting/using-lish-the-linode-shell) one of those should say why it shutdown

You can get a notification by setting up an @reboot entry in cron to e-mail you.
