is it possible to install ioncube using the yum command ?

Hi folks

I have a website that requires ioncube to run

is it possible to install ioncube using the yum command ? or do i have to do this manually [sigh] ?

if there is a way how can i find such yum installable components by myself in future ? (i tried "yum search ioncube" -but no matches).

is anything else required for ioncube to load once installed ?

my preference is yum because it's easier to keep track of things this way

Thanks !

Do you have the Atomic repository installed?

@bryantrv:

Do you have the Atomic repository installed?

Hi Chris

I believe i just have the default repository

I just saw that the atomic repository can be installed using:

wget -q -O - http://www.atomicorp.com/installers/atomic | sh

but I havent installed it, as i just completed the installation using guidelines from the ioncube website:

http://www.ioncube.com/loaders.php

can you tell me please - if the atomic repository can be trusted ?

I'm new to CentOs and the repository world, and am unsure whom (which repositories) can be considered reliable

Thanks

Dror

I don't use CentOS now, but personally, I would have no hesitation about using the Atomic repository- I have in the past. It will generally give you more up to date packages than the CentOS ones.
