Different password for root ssh

Hi,

I need to have a different root SSH password to my Linode Members home, how is this done on Debian 3.0r1 and Redhat ?

Are you trying to change your Member's password? If so, log into the member's section, click on My Profile, and then Change Password.

If you're trying to change the password on one of your installed distros, login (as root if you can) and type "passwd" and enter in your new root password…

If you can't login as root because you don't know what the password is, you can boot into single user mode, remount your fs read/write, and then change it from there like above…
