Help with Name servers and dns etc.

Hi

I've installed Ubuntu 11.10 with Cherokee web server.

I'm looking for an easy to follow tutorial that will help me to setup my Ubuntu Server as a web server. I have bookmarked tutorials that explain the software needed which makes perfect sense but am unsure as to how to setup name servers and point a domain name to the server etc so that I can actually host some websites and access them via my PC.

Some help or a point in the right direction would be appreciated.

regards,

Richard

You don't need to setup a DNS server yourself, linode provides them. See ~~[http://library.linode.com/dns-guides/configuring-dns-with-the-linode-manager" target="_blank">](http://library.linode.com/dns-guides/co … de-manager">http://library.linode.com/dns-guides/configuring-dns-with-the-linode-manager](

Thanks for the help.

This is a great community and really helpful. I've only been a customer of Linode for 2 days and have learnt loads.

Richard
