Reboot issues

Hi, I am trying to reboot my Unbuntu 10.04 (LAMP 2.6) Linode and currently it has already taken 13 minutes and still yet to shut down.

Is this common? I'm sure when I rebooted months ago it was done within a few minutes and I am beginning to worry as I host many live sites. Any help is much appreciated.

As a guess, your linode is in Fremont, right? There are currently network issues at the provider that owns the datacenter. Please see http://status.linode.com/

I'm having the same issues (and at Fremont too). Will ride it out I guess.

Fremont coming back up has (not surprisingly) fixed the issue.

It has fixed it.

Lesson learned, I will now check the server status before going any further.
