zimbra instance to small
I am running zimbra on an 1024 (1gb) instance to serve as a personal mail domain. However it keeps running out of memory and going down. I have to reboot the instance every time I want access to my mail server (not pracical!
I was wondering a couple of things.. 1) what is the smallest size you think would be practical to use for a zimbra instance. 2) is there a way to increase the size (memory and hd) of your instance without losing what you already have?
thanks!

Certainly. Check out the resize tab in the Linode manager.

I have a zimbra install on Ubuntu LTS on a 1024 and it runs OK handling mail for a few dozen mailboxes across a handful of domains. Very small. Sounds like your needs are actually less, but if they're more, I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't fit.
I actually had it running at one point in time on a 768, but ugh, performance was horrible!

Yes, upgrade your linode to the next size. It's more cost effective than throwing some RAM and HDD at your current one.
