I have mydomain.com as the only domain on my linode so far, under which I have been working on devsite1.mydomain.com I now need to configure/move/transfer/whatever the subdomain to it's own domain. Do I need to have a domain name registered to do that? And this new domain will be e-com and therefore need SSL, so do I need to rearrange my main domain in some way to accomodate this?
