DoS measures

Hi, already a memeber, but thought I should post here anyway. What measures does Linode take to prevent Denial of Service attacks? For example, is there a firewall guarding all of linode? Or is each customer responsible for such things.

If you do nothing, are there steps that Linode customers should take to prevent such things?

Thanks.

There is no complete solution for protecting against all types of DOS attacks. Suffice to say that we've protected our network as best we can. The end-customer is responsible for protecting their own Linode – mostly by not doing something that get's them DOS attacked in the first place  That's not the type of community I'd like to have here.

You shouldn't have to perform any additional filtering on your Linode (but you can, of course).
