Vmware disk image to linode

development

I am running trixbox 2.8 (centos5.4-final) on vmware server 2 and want to upload to my linode server, i have followed this guide

http://library.linode.com/advanced/custom-distro-howto

and reach to the point where run dd command to transfer vmdk image to /dev/xvdb, but after that i couldn't mount the disk under finnix.

Any guru can help in this regards here.

Did you transfer the vmdk to /dev/xvdb from the host running VMware? That will not be mountable. You need to transfer an image of the filesystem(s) from inside the VM.

It is trixbox version 2.8 and have three partition, sda1-> boot, sda2-> /, sda3-> swap

I copied sda2 from local vmware server 2 to /dev/xvdb on linode using dd command according to the guide.
