SSHD Config. Questions

I am interested in signing up for a Linode 64 but I am unable to SSH out of my corporate network. I would like to know if it is possible to change the SSHD config to run SSH on port 21? 8)

Hello Chrisw,

Thanks for your question.

It is pretty simple to change the port the SSH daemon listens on, but the problem is you'll need to ssh into the machine to change it.

You just add a line to /etc/ssh/sshd_config that says "Port 21"….

I would be happy to make the change for you, just fill out a Support Ticket with your request.

Thanks,

-Chris
