How to install a .tff fonts file on an Ubuntu linode?

I have this file TUFFYMH3.ttf I need to install so my server can use the font for generate some graphic.

I've looked high and low, but can't figure out how to install this font in my Ubuntu distribution (10.10).

Can anybody provide me with a command or a link to instructions how to do this?

Thanks,

Looks like there are at least several possible options:

Thanks. I did go through those first, but didn't really have much luck.

I did eventually install fontconfigure using apt-get. It's not giving me errors, but I really can't tell if the font is properly installed or not. My app which uses the font doesn't seem to see it.
