Payments from referral credits.

Is it possible to request physical payment of credit earned from successful referrals? Since the money appears in an account balance, it doesn't seem to be classified as 'credit.' so I'm curious to know if a portion of the balance could be collected from either direct bank deposit, check, or any other method.

Having potential money tied up months down the line seems silly.

I believe the referral credits can only be used towards Linode service, and are not redeemable for cash. This avoids some tax issues.

Referral credit is only applicable towards Linode service and cannot be refunded to the card attached to the account.
