Use RAM disk for mysqld.sock

I see that there is a lot of disk IO for /var/run/mysqld/mysql.sock

Will it be better to create RAM disk and move it there? How big this ram disk should be for mysql.sock?

Thanks!

The mysql.sock file is a Unix domain socket. The I/O you're seeing associated with that file isn't disk I/O.

Right… probably it was mysql disk I/O itself
