Strange network usage after yum update...

Hi all,

I yum updated my centos 5.5 today,

this is the update done:

Packages Updated:

1:nfs-utils-1.0.9-47.el55.x8664

1:perl-Archive-Tar-1.39.1-1.el5_5.2.noarch

udev-095-14.21.el55.1.x8664

freetype-2.2.1-26.el55.x8664

libvolumeid-095-14.21.el55.1.x86_64

freetype-2.2.1-26.el5_5.i386

since I updated I noticed a strange network usage on my VPS.

It is four times greater than the normal but I can't find why…

top command show me that cpu is in idle, any tips?

Install ntop it's like top but for network usage it might shed some light.

reading my access_log I understood where my network traffic gone…

incredible, I think I should increase my bandwidth…

I use iftop to monitor the network activity in realtime,

do you know some smarter utility?

like I said ntop is pretty good
