anybody installed this ?

http://postfixadmin.sourceforge.net/

Is it a good idea ? How user-friendly is it ? Does it use much CPU ?

Yes, we use this at work as well as a on server I own myself. It's very easy to use, and the CPU usage is hardly noticable. It's a great way to allow domain owners to manage their own e-mail accounts and aliases as well as allowing individual mail users to change their own account password.

We use it at work and while it's not the prettiest or most user friendly software out there, it does the job. I've been meaning to code my own alternative to it, but haven't gotten round to it yet.

I was about to ask the same question. I followed the library guide to setup postfix & dovecot (~~[http://library.linode.com/email/postfix/postfix-dovecot-mysql-ubuntu-10.04-lucid" target="_blank">](http://library.linode.com/email/postfix … 0.04-lucid">http://library.linode.com/email/postfix/postfix-dovecot-mysql-ubuntu-10.04-lucid]() and now I want an easy way to manage domains / users. Is the PostfixAdmin supposed to use the same db as what I setup in the guide?

Sorry to bump an old topic, but I'm trying to do the same thing.

I'm pretty much a n00b at setting up this stuff, but I've got the postfix/dovecot running, I just need a better way to handle virtual mailboxes and setup.

Any experts?
