all virus scanners failed

I'm running (trying to run would be more accurate) postfix with spamassasin and amavis.

My whole mailqueue is displaying the same error :

> host 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1] said: 451 4.5.0 Error in processing, id=25972-06-3, virus_scan FAILED: AV: ALL VIRUS SCANNERS FAILED (in reply to end of DATA command)

Is spamassassin or amavis to blame ? How can I fix this ?

Thanks in advance !

You may want to check to see if ClamAV is running properly, they recently marked 0.92 as End of Life, and that broke alot of things.

Try this:

/etc/init.d/clamav restart

service clamav restart if your on debian. That is, I'm assuming your running clamav. Otherwise, your going to need a mailscanner. Amavis manages spamassassin and clamav, clamav scans for viruses, spamassassin deletes spam.

You may want to have a look at http://workaround.org/ispmail
