2 314 ms Ping

I use Pingdom for monitoring my server.

Was really surprised when I saw this "report time" entries:

2 314 ms

Measured: 12.04.2010. 22:00:00

1 944 ms

Measured: 13.04.2010. 15:00:00

Normally the average ping time is below 200 ms. What went wrong? :?

EDIT: My Linode is placed in Fremont, CA.
