Paying with neteller

Hi I'm about to buy a Linode but I'm from the Netherlands and have no credit card. Therefore I created an account with neteller.com. Are there people who have experience paying Linode with Neteller?

Looks like they've got a prepaid MasterCard with a static card number and a virtual MasterCard with dynamic one-time card numbers. I haven't heard of anyone specifically using Neteller, but it should work just fine in theory. You'll probably want to use a static card number for auto-renewals to work right, of course. :-)

If you are going to go to the trouble of getting a netteller card with a static number, you might as well ask your bank for a card. I have a Mastercard from ABN-AMRO which has no 'credit' - the whole balance is deducted from my current account each month. A nice alternative if you want to shop on the web but don't want a real credit card, with the possibility of racking up interest charges. The limit is set low, so if it is ever compromised, the amount of possible damage is limited.

I did not necessarily need a static number, but I've just applied for a credit card with ABN AMRO. The 100% repayment per month is only possible if you use a private account. We use a business account, which costs 27.5 euros per year, which is a reasonable price.
