Suggestions for mail solution for Worpress/Drupal sites

Hey all. I'm new to Linode, Linux and these forums, so first off I'd like to say "hey!".

So far I have been able to work through everything and have gotten Apache, MySQL and PHP installed. My domains are setup and my sites are online.

Now I'm down to my last little issue, e-mail. I have managed to setup e-mail for one of my domains using Google Apps, however I want to serve upwards of 5 or 6 emails and really don't want to set this up for each domain.

Instead, I figured I should go ahead and setup my own mail server on my Linode and have each site/domain use it to forward e-mails to a single gmail account.

I don't need anything fancy, I just need something capable of handling user registration e-mails (for small wordpress forum) and a few contact forms on my sites.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

You could add the other domains as aliases to your current GApp account.

If you don't mind all the email addresses going to the same account, I think this is the easiest way to go.

any ideas on how i'd go about setting this up?

EDIT: I've added some domain aliases and have realized it isn't working even for my primary domain.

i can send email to the account from another email account, however, filling out a contact form on my primary domain does nothing.

I decided for myself to just go ahead and set up Google Apps for the domains. I had a few domains that were really just projects of mine and any email to/from them was going to be pretty much just from and to myself, so I added them as domain aliases under one Google App domain. The domains that actually needed more email service, such as users other than myself, get their own Google App set up. You really can't beat the price; free. Also on these linodes every CPU/disc cycle counts, and I figure that hosting a dozen domains and making the server churn through all that spam and so on would add up to a significant hit. It's worth the few minutes of set up for me to save the strain on my linode. Also with the linode.coms DNS manager the DNS set up is pretty much a 2 second process. Just clone one working domain with all the Google email MX and CNAME entries in it to a new domain, and you're pretty much done. Each domain you set up is going to have basically the identical settings so it couldn't be easier.

Are you looking for the ability to just send Emails from your WordPress application to users not on your linode or are you looking to also be able to Email to your linode?
