Zimbra on CentOS 5 HOWTO

Howdy, all. I just finished a tutorial on configuring a CentOS 5 system for use with the Zimbra groupware system, which provides email, shared calendars, and chat functionality. This may prove useful for those of you who have had MTA-related issues. Zimbra is a pretty powerful solution, and while it's not right for everyone it does offer some nice integrated features.

You can find the tutorial here: http://www.classhelper.org/articles/cen … ra-server/">http://www.classhelper.org/articles/centos-5-zimbra-server/

I hope you find it useful. :)

This is an alternative to one of your previous posts for a chat function.

It is another exceptional option.

Thank you again,

Jeff

Fixed now. I appreciate the tip!

I like Zimbra too. It's a bummer they still don't officially support CentOS (obviously, the RHEL packages will run just fine, you just have to be careful with the centosplus repo and anything else that is not standard upstream). You can read about CentOS support and Zimbra here:

Thankfully, they do officially support Debian and Ubuntu :)
