Outstanding! Painless upgrade from Linode 360 to 1080

I've been struggling along on a Linode 360 for about a year now, which I have been using as a development testing site for about 20 Drupal sites.

As more sites are being developed on it, obviously things were slowing down to a dull blur…

So I decided to take the plunge.

First of all I asked support about five different questions, ranging from credit card details to a preview of how this was going to work, plus of course a plea for instructions.

All my questions were answered in minutes, and once I ordered the migration (same data server, different host), it took just 12 minutes for the migration to be made ready, and a migration button appeared on my dashboard.

Everything worked like clockwork, and in about ten minutes I had my new host up and running (including time to resize the swap to take into account the additional memory, and then the main partition to take advantage of the extra disk space) in about 10 minutes.

Thanks, guys, really great service!

I've done a couple of vps upgrades myself with Linode, and I've never had any problems :). The support is excellent! Of course, I always advise people to make backups first, but I've never had to use mine to repair anything.

I've actually got a ticket in right now to upgrade my primary linode to a 1080 plan. Good to hear things are going as smoothly as ever.
