Kernel error during swapping

Has anyone ever gotten a message like this:

Oct 13 17:59:31 kernel: swapper: page allocation failure. order:0, mode:0x20

?

It was followed by a call trace. I've never seen this before.

Apparently a rare but harmless message. See the following thread:

I'd seen that, but I wasn't sure if it was still relevant (2004 and whatnot).

Back in the 2.0 days (and 2.2, and 2.4 – when odd and even numbers meant something) I kept up with kernel releases. Now I just trust that whatever ubuntu gives me is OK ;)

For better or worse, thats what I tend to do too, at least until something breaks.

I try and follow the Ubuntu patches, but at work I just have to use whatever RedHat hands out.
