Switching data center

Hello!

I'm interested in moving a Linode from Dallas, TX data center to Newark, NJ, as it provides much better connectivity with Europe.

Does Linode offer something semi-automated for this operation, or has one to activate another node, configure the system, copy the data over, etc?

Thanks,

Michele.

P.S.: It would be nice if in the page which lists the data centers you would provide 4 hostnames to ping/traceroute so a potential customer can easily see which one is faster to reach from where he's located.

That page has a list of hostnames/sites to test downloads from.

In terms of changing dcs. Log a ticket for the admins and they will configure migration for you..

Basicly a button will appear in your panel that says MIGRATE. You click it, and it shuts your linode down, and movies it to your new host.

Apart from the reconfiguring your IP's.. Its all automagical :)

Hope this helps.

Cheers

NF
