Dallas 45 - rebooted 30 Sep 14:45 but no notice issued

I have woken today to find Dallas45 was rebooted but wasn't informed before hand. Caused a bit of grief because I found out 5 hours later!!

THe number of phone messages and emails I have is - well - astounding!

And to think uptime was doing so well too! Setup on 17 December 2007 and going strong till today.

My best ever server was one that ran from 1 April 1993 till 30 December 2006 - no reboots, no upgrades and it was the only power supply that never faulted in that period!

Mind you it was a 386 and PSU's were built better back then!

Is this a security issue?

OK ok, I get it :)

DUH! See I forgot about the watchdog :)

Now I'm baffled as to why!

That means that your linode went unresponsive, crashed, or shut itself down without the knowledge of the linode management system. Lassie noticed this and then, like a good dog should, restarted your linode.
