Why is my running kernel different than the one shown in my dashboard?

When I type uname -a in my terminal, I see 4.14.17-x86_64-linode99. When I look in my Linode's dashboard I see (Latest 64 bit (4.15.7-x86_64-linode102)).

What is going on here?

When this happens, it means that we have promoted a new kernel version to Lastest Kernel since the last time your Linode was rebooted. We will not reboot your Linode to upgrade your system to the newest kernel. If you have Latest Kernel selected in your configuration profile, any time you reboot you will get the latest kernel:
