Ubuntu 8.04

I'm "assuming" this new distro is the server edition… is it bare or is it the complete server edition (ie… already set up with all the goodies like LAMP as advertised on their site).

Thanks

The distro images tend to be fairly minimal - leaving it up to the customer to set up things exactly how they like it. There's a 'lamp-server' task in aptitude, if you install that things will probably be set up fairly reasonably.

Note that the only difference between the ubuntu editions is what's installed by default - you can take a desktop edition to a server edition (or vice versa!) by installing and removing the appropriate packages.
