When connecting to your Linode for the first time, you will use the username root (used on nearly all Linux systems) and the root password created during deployment. Graphical LISH does not accept copy-paste, so I would encourage you to connect using either our standard Web LISH (Linode Shell) Console or SSH (Secure Shell).

If you need to reset your root password, this can be done directly through Cloud manager:
