Are the Linode automatic backups immutable?

The question title says it all. If the backups are not immutable by default, is there an option to do that?

The Linode Backup Service is a file based backup solution. Linode Backups is a managed service that automatically backs up your Linode disks at regular intervals.

We do have our Images Service that can help make Immutable Infrastructure easier to implement. Linode Images allow you to take snapshots of your disks or upload your own custom image files. You can then deploy them to any Linode under your account.
