how clone disk to new volume
I've allocated all my linode's disk space but I want to clone a disk, so I created a new volume and followed the Volume Configuration instructions. How can I add the new volume to the linode so that I can clone my disk? The "Add a Disk" button is still disabled, and when I try to clone a disk I still get the "Insufficient space" error.

I found a part of our guide to Booting from a Block Storage Volume explaining how to copy a primary disk to a Block Storage Volume. If you just ignore the rest of the guide, that section seems like it covers what you're looking for.
This will require booting into Rescue Mode, so I recommend reading more about that if you're not familiar so that you can understand how to navigate your server when it's booted in that environment. Booting into Rescue Mode was suggested in any similar instructions I've found, like this Community Site Post:
The first option seems much simpler to me and I'm not seeing a reason it wouldn't work, but you can look into both to see if one is a better option for you.
