Linode CPU usage exceeds 100%

Hello, i am currently hosting a minecraft server on my Linode, but because it's modded, it has a very high CPU usage.

Currently it's very consistently on 170% CPU usage. My question is if this is going to cost me extra, if i'd like to keep the server going 24/7?

Thanks in advance.

CPU metrics are based on the total number of CPU cores available to the plan currently in use. For example, the Nanode and 2GB Shared CPU plans have access to 1 Core (0-100% CPU) while the Shared or Dedicated 4GB CPU plans have 2 Cores (0-200% total).

We do not charge additional fees for your use of CPU, but Shared Plans do not have get sustained 100% use of CPU. 170% is slightly higher than the sustained 160% CPU (2 x 80%/Core), so if you intend to maintain high CPU usage, you may want to consider upgrading to a Dedicated plan.

Alternatively, you may want to attempt to optimize your CPU usage using the following guides:
