migrated WordPress, troubleshooting the commandline

Nanode to Nanode. Ubuntu 22.04 with Apache2.
First backup option was the All-in-One Migration plug-in.
They were caught by surprise by something in PHP 8. Three incremental changes and still no-go.

Second backup method was the commandline, a TarBall.
Expected reversing the commands to work. Import the database, copy the old source files. Stuck at the site either having no database connection or showing directories.
For as huge as WordPress is having a hard time finding insight into what is wrong.

We have a couple of Community Site posts from users that have also encountered a database connection error through Wordpress. Feel free to take a look at them and see if the suggestions posted in these links help:

Error establishing a database connection when setup wordpress
WordPress sudden "database connection" error
Error establishing a database connection

I also found a Wordpress Community Site post of a person that is also having the issue of their Wordpress website only showing directories.

We also have a great post on our site for installing Wordpress on Ubuntu 22.04. You may have missed a step in setting up your Wordpress server on your new Linode, so it may be worth looking over this guide for any missed steps.

Hopefully the links I posted are helpful and if you continue to have issues with Wordpress, please post the errors that you are seeing on your website and we may be able to help troubleshoot your issues further.
