Can I; change distro but keep the old IP

I wish to uninstall my distro and reinstall a different distro.

Specifically, I want to downgrade from Linux 22.1 to 22.04LTS but I don't want to lose my IP address. How would I do this? It seems easy but last time I reinstalled, I ended up with a new IP address.
