Drupal development full steam ahead on linode

Well, I've been able to get off to a fast start here at linode. A very clean, lean and mean setup, everything just works.

Since the reseller shared hosting model just doesn't work with modern database based web applications, plus the fact that it is very necessary to separate testing, development and production, I have been anxious to try out the VPS model for some time.

I am glad I did.

Here is my comment to the drupal community:

Here is a technical description of exactly the steps I took to get my development machine up and running for Drupal:

(soon to be hosted on a linode!)

Will be commenting further, really glad to be here.

I see that like myself, you use the GNU Midnight Commander - it sure makes setting up a server easier. I read through both of the notes you linked to, Gutsy Gibbon is my choice as well. Welcome to Linode.
