Vpn through shadowsocks

Ok so here’s my question. Can I route my internet traffic through my vpn then through shadowsocks. I currently have a vpn on linode. I use OpenVPN. I’d like to route traffic through a vpn then a proxy like shadow socks. I don’t know if this is ssh tunneling or not. Just started learning networking 3 months ago so kinda new to all this. Sorry if this is already asked. Thanks in advance.

Why? Does your local government have better eyes than the NSA? That would be pretty hard to believe…

As to your question, I don't see why not… The best proof would be to just try it… The Linode TOS doesn't prohibit it…unless you're using to plan terrorist attacks or something. In which case, the NSA is already on to you ;-)

It's not. It's SOCKS ( see https://www.cloudwards.net/socks5/ ). Also, you need to be aware that SOCKS does not support ICMP so trying to ping a node through SOCKS is an exercise in futility. You need to use some tcp-/udp-based method like httping or tcping.
