Disk ID 5405974 for /dev/sda not found

I am having an issue booting my Linode. I was told by support to assign my block device to /dev/sda which is what I did. However when I try and save the configuration it throws this error in the console.

Another reference to this issue on the Community Site was when a user was installing Arch Linux. They changed their configuration to boot from direct disk. Instead of doing that, I suggest switching your kernel to the Latest Linode kernel if you're booting using GRUB2 or vice versa.

You may also want to boot your instance into Rescue Mode to run a file system check and ensure no files on your disk are corrupt.

Finally, I suggest cloning the disk and a booting up a new instance using the cloned disk.
