How Do I login?

I am trying to log into my new server through command prompt, but when I go onto command prompt i put in the SSH access (so far so good) and when it asks me too type the password it doesn't let me type. It just doesn't work and doesn't show an sign of input in command prompt. Someone please help me

In many computer systems, nothing is shown while you enter text for a password. It's likely allowing you to enter type, just not showing on the screen.
